The Company’s bottom of the garden mooring policy is as follows:

1.    The length of the craft must not exceed the mooring frontage.

2.    The land must be owned or occupied by the owner of the craft.

3.    The canal wall must be in good condition.

4.    There must be an adequate depth of water.

5.    No interference with sight lines.

6.   A mooring will not be approved if the craft interferes with the safe navigation of craft on the canal or the canal structure.

7.    Payment of 2017 mooring fees, currently £40 per metre plus vat per annum.

8.    The Company reserves the right to refuse a mooring.

9.  If a mooring is granted the craft will also require a Bridgewater Canal cruising licence (fee on application).
