Peel L&P supports grassroots football with Winton Wanderers sponsorship
Owner of the Bridgewater Canal, Peel L&P, has sponsored Winton Wanderers’ under 13s Flames based in Salford, providing them with a new kit.
Director of the Bridgewater Canal, Peter Parkinson visited the team to watch their first match of the season, which was also their very first 11-a-side match as a team.
Speaking on the sponsorship, Peter said: “I would like to thank Winton Wanderers for inviting me down to see the Under 13s play, at a safe distance. The girls played really well and looked the part in their Bridgewater Canal sponsored kits.”
Peel L&P is a regeneration business with generations of history and is now responsible for some of the most transformational development projects in the UK today.
Winton Wanderers Treasurer, Patrick Pollock said: “We would like to thank Peel L&P and the Bridgewater Canal for its continued support in our club. Looking in to this season, we currently have 33 teams entered in to various leagues around the North West as well as an Academy which is constantly growing – it is great to receive support from local businesses to help further our success as a club.”
Peter concluded: “Giving back to local communities is a really important part of Peel L&P’s ethos and we’re proud to support youth sports clubs, such as Winton Wanderers.”
